Chapter 3: A Young Woman's Awakening - A Zoid's Awakening
Surprised by the revival of the Zaber Fang, Van and Zeke charge again, only to get knocked away. They land outside of the village and Raven pursues them in the Zaber Fang. A construction worker in a Brachios appears and challenges the Zaber Fang, but Raven gets behind it and nails the Brachios in the neck.
Maria and the Reverend are watching the destruction from afar. Maria wants to help her brother, but Reverend tells her it's too dangerous. Suddenly there's a small explosion, and they discover that the second capsule has broken open.
Battered by the Zaber Fang, Van and Zeke separate from their merge. As Raven is about to step on them, Zeke picks up Van and flies away. Raven's about to pursue, but the Brachios from earlier isn't down for the count, it stops him. Van and Zeke finally come to a crash on the hill where his father's Command Wolf lies. There they meet a girl who claims that Zeke told her about Van, and Van realizes that she was the one within the other capsule, and the mysterious voice he heard from within Zeke. With a kiss, she re-energizes Van and then Zeke with a wave of her hand. She tells Van that his father's Zoid is not dead, and still desires to fight. Having used too much energy, the girl collapses, but claims Zeke already knows how to defeat the Zaber Fang. Maria and Reverend come running up, just in time for Raven to arrive in the Zaber Fang. The two carry the girl off to safety.
Van and Zeke meld again. They fly past Raven and merge with the Command Wolf, surprising Raven. Standing its ground, the Command Wolf charges the Zaber Fang. With the realization that Zeke's merging brings out the full potential of a Zoid, he is proud to have two Zekes at his side.
Chapter Four: The Final Attack - A Father's Voice
The Battle between the Command and the Zaber Fang rages over the countryside, demolishing buildings. Van tries and Electro-Fang attack on Raven, but the Zaber clamps the Wolf's mouth shut with a swipe of its paw. Though going head-to-head, the smaller Command Wolf is really getting tossed around. During the battle, Raven explains that Shadow boosts a Zoids capabilities to three times their normal rate, but afterwards the Zoid is rendered useless; it dies. Enraged, Van charges again.
Suddenly the girl perks up again, contacting Van. She says the Command Wolf wants to use its final attack, the Ragnarok Fang. Maria and Van are surprised. They flashback to when they were little, in the Command Wolf with their dad as he explained the attack. It would use all of the Wolf's energy, and most likely would not survive the attack, possibly killing the pilot too. The kids fret, saying winning won't mean anything if he's lost, but their father assures them that there are times when one needs to fight, even if it means death.
Van does not want to use the attack that killed his father, but the Ragnarok system starts up. Raven starts to really pound on the Wolf, as the Zaber Fang has reach its limits. Van refuses to use the Ragnarok Fang, and is ready to give up his life. However, a scene from the past starts to show in front of him, from his father's final moments. Knowing he won't make it through the battle, his father asks Zeke to pass a message on to Van - That he should grow up strong to protect the most precious things in life.
Fueled with renewed determination, Van decides to follow his father's wishes. The Wolf jumps onto the Zaber, clamping on tightly with its teeth as Van engages the Ragnarok Fang attack, clearly surprising Raven. Van, ready to give up his own life, is visited by his father's spirit, who tells him that he won't die from this.
The Zoids explode in a massive cloud, but the girl tells Maria and the Reverend that it's okay. Zeke escapes with Van. However, Shadow has also escaped with Raven. Claiming his objectives are done, Raven retreats, vowing that they will fight again someday. Van vows to make Raven regret everything he did the next time they meet, and then explains to his friends and sister about how he heard his father. He says he'll continue to fight together with his Zeke.
Later as the village is being repaired, the Reverend runs into Van. He asks how the girl is doing, and Van explains how she has amnesia, but her name is Fiona. Van then spots Chyrol and runs over to the little girl. She's carrying Bony's heart, its core, and plans to bury it. Van kneels down, apologizing to the little girl, saying it was his fault Raven came into the village. He tells Chyrol she can hit him until she feels better, but instead the girl presents Van with a magnet that Bony wore for Zeke. She says with it, Bony can continue to live on through Zeke, and asks Van to be best friends with Zeke. Touched by the gift, Van hugs the girl and promises that he and Zeke will be best friends forever.
